Strippoker, you musk know the boys over at Boatworks.

Alisyn is the best OB oil on the market, there engine oil is as good as it gets and there gear lube is the only gear lube on the market that has measureable preformance increases.

There isn;t a hope in hell that someone picked up 5 mph on drive and engine oil changes!

As for gear lube, I have torn down a gazillion cases and tried every oil, royal purple was the worst, and amsoil not far behind. ( there ob oil kill ring life by almost 30% over Alisyn, and make 7 hp less on the dyno on a 350 hp motor ). The merc oil is a lot better than people give it credit. If it isn't Alisyn it is merc.

Now I heard Amsoil and RP were good from mechanics out my way. Mobil-1 and HP were "ok". Stories vary. Nobody out here uses Redline; Alisyn or Torco.

I grew up with both of them .How do you know them?

I think there # 2 lube for the Bravo was a lighter weight oil.At least It felt that way.

Is most of your experience with outboard stuff?

I get Dewitt drunk at the races, and daryl has been doing some of my engine work.
As for just ob's no. I have a few other boats that have more power, and use Alisyn in every thing. 700 hp into a bravo works fine.
