Default Thermal heat rejection

Does anyone an opinion about possible benifit from a sheetmetal shroud around the sides of a supercharger? The chambers would have external bungs and be fed with seawater. The objective is to replace or compliment intercoolers.

Won't hurt anything.

But it also won't do a whole lot of cooling to the main component: the compressed intake charge air...

The water chambers may also serve as a sanitary cool can for fuel.

I have heard of water cooled blowers. I think it was a Mooneyham.

Thanks Patriyacht,Mooneyham reports they did work hard to develope a water jacketed blower. However, the project was discontinued because of vane end clearance problems. The heat caused the vanes to grow and the water caused the case to shrink.-----------any other suggestions?
