Davids94, I have a couple friends that have 1996 U boats and they looked and looked for decent performance upgrades and found nothing worthwhile. Part of the problem was the exhaust and replacing it was very expensive. Theres just not a lot of Volvo Penta Ford products out there.

I talked to a guy that was running 400+ hp with a 5.8 MPI in a U19 and he said if he had to do it all over again he would have started from scratch with a chevy carbed small block.
