Stopped by the shop again.
The head on the left is mine. The one on the right has not been done yet. Gives you a good idea of before/after. Valve seats and porting all done by Jeff himself. These should flow real nice. |

Re: 454mag rebuild in progress
I'm looking for a cam for a similar rebuild. What cam and intake are you using for 550hp ?What comp ratio? Thanks
|
Re: 454mag rebuild in progress
He will have 9.5to1 compression.A ported dual plane[rect.port].The cam is going to be a Crane flat tappet [solid]..580 and .600 on the exhaust.244 and 252 for dur. at .050 and on a 112 center.

Re: 454mag rebuild in progress
Nice to see someone still using solid flat tappets!! Solid flat tappets really rap out a tune! What is the anticipated WOT RPM?

Re: 454mag rebuild in progress
Expecting around 550hp(+?) at 5700rpm.

Re: 454mag rebuild in progress
Sweet. I guess the KE exhaust is pretty resistant to reversion. What would you think would be the largest cam I could run with Rev Marine(Gil copy)without getting into reversion?
|
Re: 454mag rebuild in progress
Using stainless marine, not KE.
Got the long risers. And it better be resistant to reversion. |
