Default engine builder who to use?

I"m getting ready to rebuild two 500hp's w/ some increase to about 550hp. Both Cheif Marine and Innovation Marine are the to I"m thinking about, anyone have any info or used eighter one? I know from what I"ve heard both are very good.Any comments would be helpful.Thanks

your looking at two quality places Tommy at Chief is a top notch person and the guys at Innovation are also a class act you will not regret working with either Sincerely Laz Mesa

just had my '99 500 hp's rebuilt - got 600+hp on the dyno today - head work & cam change otherwise stock - (see dyno run threat)

Laz at Mesa Balancing was trying to be a gentleman in not suggesting himself. He built my 540 ci motors and did a fantastic job. I would not hesitate to recommend Mesa in terms of product quality and price.

Look no further. Laz is in Miami and I heard he will have a booth at the boat show. Simply scroll back to his post and click on his name.

I am a big fan of both Chief and Innovation, but I must 2nd what Andy said. Las is just finishing up 2 motors for my Tiger.

We will be running them in the boat on Tuesday

Take a look at what he has to offer.

I was going to mention Laz, but then deleted... seeing you were only looking for opinions of the 2 builders you mentioned.
If I lived down your way, I might have used Laz to do mine.

I`m a good friend of Tommy at Chief and Laz with that said, you will not find a better pair of engine builders like Tommy and Laz period, one word honesty......
