I'm in the process of converting my project over from hull mounted water pickups(clam shell type) to transom mounted pickups. Who has the best pickups these days from a water flow and performance(drag) standpoint? Are you better going with two individuals or are the single race style units the hot set up? I have never seen the big single style in any of the catalogs. Are they usually custom build for the application? Any help will be appreciated. I need to buy something soon and start the plumbing.

I've got a pair of these I never installed--Stainless Transom Mount Offshore Style---I plugged holes in transom from old Mercruiser transom pickups and went with the thru-bottom clamshells.
