I just think about Ford,GM and others going to shorty headers for the Mustang , vette, etc and have to believe there are large gains over the RPM range compared to using a style that dumps into a common chamber an inch or so from the head. ZERO scavaging effect ,,maybe worse. I'd love to see a big side by side test but until then I think similar designs will be VERY similar in performance. Gil=Stainless Marine=RMs or further up Sterling=CMI. Granted on a 800HP engine that diff. may grow a little but I am not in that group,,Yet.
