on the newer stuff the lube monitor hose passes through the transom plate and there is a tit on the face of the drive that acts like a quick diconect at the bellhousing.

Re: A Challenge = Free Lunch
Hi bud. Any update on the fittings? If not I understand you offered them for free, but the weather in MI has broke since I wrote 4 weeks ago, ad I am now ready to put it together. If you don't have em', just let me know so I can order them quickly. Thanks.

Re: A Challenge = Free Lunch
To Small PP;
I don't do Merc stuff, but I thought the fitting was 3/8 -16 but the ususal hydraulic stuff was fine thread, e.g., 3/8-24 so you may have a problem finding it.
I don't see why the compulsion to find an AN adapter as the filling pressure is basically less than 1 psi and simple slip on hose barb fittings will suffice. Of course I get anal about doing trick looking stuff so I can identify with the quest.
If you have any friends with a lathe, have them center drill a short bolt and silver solder in a short hose barb.
If you want, use a brass bolt and soft solder will be just fine. Then you can leave it in the bilge or anywhere and it won't rust or get stolen.

Re: A Challenge = Free Lunch Attn: HillBilly24
Hey HillBilly24, it has been a while since we chatted. Any chance of sending out those fittings we tried to a year ago? I never received them. It adapts the top Alpha fill plug to AN. Let me know. Address is in this thread. Hope all is well. Just trying to close open items. Anything I can help you with? Just finished swapping the 4.3L V6 for a built 5.7L V8 in my 17' Formula.
