DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET STAINLESS ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ECT. SAME STUFF MERCURY USES ON THERE GIMBEL GROUNDING CABLES. IM TIRED OF DASH GAGE WIRER EYELETS BREAKING OFF BECAUSE THERE ALUM.

I think you would need to go to a shop that builds multistrand cables. such as a industrial supply or aircraft.

SS is not a "normal" material to use as an electrical connector cause it sucks compared to copper or aluminum (from an electron transfer standpoint).

Crimping stainless eye terminal ends, #14-10, which simply means an eye that slips/crimps over 14 gauge wire...with a #10 size hole in it for a #10 size gauge stud...is asking for trouble, since the wire is copper. The ideal eye end is made by "Panduit". It is silver coated. Crimp them on with a Panduit crimping tool ONLY...after you have slipped a piece of EPOXY heat shrink tubing over the wire to heat & shrink. You're problems will be over. Ed

My Dash Gauges Have Heatshrink To The Eyelet. The Problem Is The Eyelet Breaks Off And Allyou Have Is A Washer Under The Nut And The End Of The Wirer With The Crimp On The End Of It. Vibration Over Time Is Causing This. I Also Need Stainless Eyelets To Made New Grounding Wirers For Transom Assem. We Rebuild Gimbel Rings & Bell Housings. People Need 1 Or 2 Grounding Wires Not Mercury's Whole Kit. And My Stuff Would Be A Whole Lot Cheaper. Ill Try Looking Into Aircraft. Rb
