Wiring Harnesses for 496 Strokers
Hey guys, I need to figure out my wiring situation for the Mistress. I spent this evening removing every piece of wire in the boat in anticipation of completely rewiring it.
I need engine harnesses for the new 496 mark IV stroker motors with MSD 6M-2 ignitions, preferably with a plug and play to another complete harness for the dash, that can be terminated into blocks and then run to either Livorsi or Faria instrumentation. I'd like to run alarms also if possible.
What do I need and where can I get it? Anyone done the same thing? Have schematics and color codes, etc.?
Thanks in advance.

You can order the engine harness for a carburated 502 Mag, and then get the Merc harness to go to the dash. How long do the dash harness's need to be?

Mark:
This is all going into a 1978 35' Mistress, I'd say from the engine room to the dash is at least 12' if not a little more to leave some slack. Let me know what would work.
Also, what would you want to rebuild one pair of 72C transmissions to make them suitable for 600-750HP?
Thanks, Harry

Hi Harry, sure give me a call , 954 545 8681
As far as the harness, it gets to be much longer than you think. By the time you ar trough making nice right angle turns , going across the transom, reaching the engine, etc. 20-25' would not surprise me.
