I removed my distributor some time ago to put new heads and intake on. There seems to be a brass vacume fitting comming out of the distributor. I cant remember if there was a hose here or not. Should there be a vacume line here. IF so where does it go too from the distributor, Is it needed. I have a Gen V carburated 454.

Vent no hose should have screen in it I think most have it on the cap just a vent though.

Just a vent, probably need to change the cap if it is brass. The vent has been plastic for some time now.
