I adjust my afr in the boat via the EFI computer. This is one of the big advantages for EFI
I'm running 34*, 12.5 afr, 15# boost, 112 octane.
Sounds like it's time to test you engine in the boat.

They want to lean it out but it is breaking the dyno. Torque won't allow them to pull much below 6000rpms. They feel like it would make over 1400 with 36-38* of timing and better A/R numbers.
GPM. I know what you are saying, these are from a very conservative shop and engine builder.Teague built some 565ci carb motors with AFR heads that make 1435hp. and Sterling make some 557ci EFI with Big Cheif heads that make 1530 hp and had a little more if they wanted to lean on them.

However mine are real numbers, Boyd's dyno #'s are usually about 40-50 hp than other comparables, but tend to run faster. What sold me was Merc swithching and picking up 175hp on basically the same motor, and now Sterling with several big HP packages.

42, I believe your numbers, I've seen similar on my dyno sheets. All blowers rob horsepower, I've heard as much as 400 hp, when you take this into consideration how many horsepower is it really making to see 1500 on the dyno. I would like to hear about these combo's. I'm always looking to upgrade. Just curious, what do you think about the BB3's ?

I've given most of my combo.Carbs are 1050 holly, 3.3 quadrotor, with moac intercoolers, brodix 3x cnc. cams are from Gary Teague,by recommendation from Dustin, approx. .775 lift. Motors made peak hp yesterday at 6700 don't know about today.
I think we talked about the heads a while back, don't you run Brodix also. My engine builder said they flowed very well, better then the Dart cnc which was my second choice, However getting shaft rockers was a slow aggravating process.

We did talk a while back, and yes I do run the Brodix heads, I tried the BB2 extra and the Big Dukes. I think you're making good power, it's more than what's usually posted on here. I wasn't questioning your combo, sounds like you're going to be running pretty good this year.

Might I ask what you paid for them? I have a feeling I am about to be sick
