Rough water races

Can you guys get some more races in the Ocean? This is what makes racing exciting to the fans, not mill ponds. Here is a shot from the Ft. L race.

Pat - I realize it may look good for the fans but it is makes racing much more expensive because it is so destructive to our equipment. An example is that Nigel's boat pictured in your post sunk soon after this shot was taken. Just by the nature of our sport we will always have a few rough water races each season but I personally don't think there is anything wrong with a few high-speed "good water" races mixed in there.

Nigel and Nick found a 55 gal plastic drum wrapped up in the props when they stopped. It was not the rough water that caused the sinking. It ripped the skeg off and the drive off the transom box. It pulled threads on (8) 5/8 bolts.

I hate to tell you but the fans want to see blood at a bull fight. Look at how many time the have shown the wreck on tv from last Sundays Taledaga race. Nascar= Cast iron bullfight.

I did not say it was good for the team, but it does create jobs and stimulate the economy.

Nice picture Freeze Frame did you get any video?

It's too bad what happened to the Lucas team. They were on top of their game, in the lead fighting off the Muscle guys. The boat was really running well and flying flat.
They had the motors running that same day. Nigel said he would be in Marathon next weekend, hope the best for the Lucas team. Pat, hope you got whatever parts they may need shipped out.
These are pictures of thier props after the race, I believe when the port drive was ripped off the transom it hit the starboard drive causing them to shred each other. It's too bad as we tweaked these props several times to get them just right.
