All the big boys broke I guess, you think this guys getting a new boat with the winnings
With the new format of a staggered start, and the accompanying prize monies significantly increased to tempt more competition to the 2005 Carib Great Race, it was “Soul Rebel”, a 20ft Formula III powered by a 225 Outboard Mercury, driven by Phillip Tardieu and throttled by Wayne Hannock, competing in the Production 1 Class, who achieved the upset when they were the first boat into Tobago and across the finish line to cop the TT$100,000.00 prize.
In 2nd place was another Production 1 entrant, “Matrix”, followed in 3rd by the “X” Class “Dingolay”.
The other placings were as follows: (4) Extreme: A-Class, (5) Mr. Solo: M-Class,
(6) Hero 1: Pirogue, (7) Predator II: Pirogue, (8) BAICO I: Sports II,
(9) Toyota White Heat: B-Class, (10) BAICO II: C-Class.
