Some Racers Have Spoken!!!

"There was a simple request to keep my posts to the other sections of the board because of complaints of a few racers."
I think it's pretty obvious there would be more complaints if you did leave this forum.
You have done more to promote and support this sport than some of the racers out there. I would expect you to post your opinions and ideas here and not be harassed.

Tim,
Your thread on Extreme Vee, or whatever it is called, was very reasonable.....................at first. It probably pissed off some of the Rio Roses crowd, but so be it.
Then you turned it into an OL versus Fountain debate...............therefore pissing off the general Fountain camp and fans.
Then you continued to post and re-post the exact same thing over and over again.....................therefore irritating some that really didn't give a damn about Extreme Vee, OL or Fountain. They were just tired of the subject.
The list of people that you rubbed the wrong way with one thread is probably long, but not necessarily distinguished. My question to you is - how could you possibly think that people weren't going to complain?
Steve posted this on September 7th-
Since the bickering is still not ending we will take it a step further. Please report any person that is not an active RACER who makes negative comments in this section towards any racing body or individual and they will be promptly removed.
You accused the Rio Roses team and Reggie Fountain of cheating and bashed SBI/APBA for so-called "changing/ignoring the rules". Whether the accusation is true or false - it is a negative comment made by a person that is not an active RACER in accordance with Steve's statement above. While I vote for you to continue to post in this section, I am having a difficult time with this "woe is me, everybody is picking on me" thread.
I have complained about two people in this forum since I joined, and you aren't one of them - I think you know that. Over the last few months I have made a comittment to tone down my threads, and I have told several people that (Pete B).
Membership in OSO means more to me than the little joy felt while taking jabs at groups that I don't particularly like. I'm not going to risk my OSO membership by starting threads that are confrontational and accusatory. Everyone here (especially the non-racers, that are already on thin ice) needs to consider the consequences before starting a controversial thread. Steve has made the rules very clear-
My $0.02 worth, and not worth anymore than that.

Tim,
I don't know you, never met you, never done business with you, and I believe the number conversations between you and I here on OSO could be counted on one hand.
Yet, you've posted some great photos of my boat in action, linked my team's website on yours, and generally provide encouragement and support to everyone in the racing community.
Don't stop what you're doing. You're just as involved (if not more) than some Riding Crew Members on this site, so you belong here as much as anyone.

Shark, thanks first for the pm last week. And second for all your hard work. We would never been able to find all those great photos of our boat without your level of dedication.
