I was just curious as to what some of the race teams are able to get from their sponsors. I may be interested in putting some stickers out there for my company one day after it takes off and was wondering what I could expect to pay out...
New to this whole deal, only have experience in sponsorships for racing atv's and i usually only got parts, stickers and the occasional entry fee paid.
Im interested to see what it would cost to have a boat named after my company. For example (way out of my price range) Miss Geico, how does something like that work? do they purchase the boat for the team or provide salaries or how does that work?

There are different levels of sponsorship and the price varies from team to team. Most teams break it down into: Primary, Secondary, and Site. The amount of money you invest into your potential marketing partner(race team) translates into how big the exposure will be. Every team is different as we all have varying expenses so do your homework. The industry standard in motorsports marketing is a 4 to 1 ROI(Return On Investment)
With the economic climate that we all live in today, I am sure that you can offer a team as little as $100 a race and they will find a space on their vessel for you and in the following years, you can make more of a contribution as your business grows. It basically boils down to; How big do you want it to be?
Good luck to you and speaking for all offshore racers we would love to have the opportunity to have you as a partner and give you a venue that allows your business to grow and prosper with the exposure.
