Big American Beer companies suck anyway, its the Microbrews that rule. I can tolerate Miller Light though when out.

Still, sucks for them pulling out of racing.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Yes, InBev has slashed their budget with a hatchet vs. a scapel and it's amazing what is being cut in 2009. That being said, we are talking with several entities about sponsorship. Also, we felt this coming so we started gearing Nauti Marine up for a variety of select service, rigging and race support functions. Feel free to contact my crew chief & marina manager, Myrick Coil @ 618-410-3433 if you think we can be of any help to you and/or your team.

NASCAR budget was slashed when Dale Jr & Busch Series was dropped. Will be cut again - only thing saving it at all is the live tv coverage. NHRA Bernstein has one year left on contract with negotiations going on now to buy that out. ALL other forms of Sports Marketing from boxing to baseball being cut or drastically reduced.

that sucks..

no more,
here's to you Mr. offshore powerboat racer
piloting 50 foot fiberglass missles with the zeal of a 5 year old on a new bike
you spend millions of dollars for an 18 inch bowling trophy
but it sure is shiney
your willing blow up expensive motors and drives like firecrackers on the 4th of july
attacking 30 foot walls of water as if they were speed bumps in a grocery store parking lot
parking lot kamikazzi
you paint everything to match the boat, the truck, the cooler, even aunt Flo is color coordinated
you travel with so much support equipment, you put the circus to shame
yet a circus is exactly what you pits try so hard to emulate
bicycle riding bears
So here's to you, Mr offshore powerboat racer, you dedication, your equipment, your unwavering drive for a good time rivals only the local tv network during sweeps week.
we love hot tv reporter chicks
we salute you Mr offshore powerboat racer

That's frustrating since InBev stated that they want to maintain AB's dominance over the domestic beer market and expand it in Europe and China. You can't expect to dominate by removing all association to the icons that Americans look towards. We might be loyal, but we're not blind. Our loyalty will shift elsewhere, causing the AB foundation to start to crumble. Regarding growing the brand in Europe, they have already demonstrated that they don't want American Lager. It's too "thin" to them. Michelob might do well, but not Bud and Bud Light.

The only good thing I could see coming from this is that some of the smaller American breweries that couldn't keep up with AB might step up to the plate with sponsorship money. There's a huge void there that needs to be filled.

All right, I'm going back to work...

Best of luck, Dave...
