Before it became Yardarm I believe Doug Popma and Haylett had a bunch of wins in it when it was the Great Lakes Caster (Fountain) boat. I don't know if Haylett and Popma were together all the time in that boat.

i spent saturday grouper fishing in the gulf with haylett and he told me his fountain had 52 checker flags. oh and by the way he is a pretty good fisherman too.

Thanks! I heard they won a National Championship but I never heard how many races they won, I'd love to know!! It is a fun boat with a cool history.

I knew there were a bunch!! 52 wins is AWESOME!!! The most impressive thing to me about Jeff and his fountain is that he redid the bottom of it and added steps!!! Remember that is a 33ft Fountain (aka 10meter) they never had steps from the factory!! Best part is that it worked and worked well!!!

That is very cool in my book!!

jeff still owns the boat sitting in michigan waiting for someone to restore it .
