It will be a very challenging year.
I could be looking to turn photography into my full time career if this company keeps moving forward with layoffs....

Take your own advice and don't waste any time getting set up to go out on your own. It's scary, I had to do it myself, but you have the skills to be successful. Just make sure you keep your taxes and books in order.
