Class 1 Boats Defect to USA
#21
Ab I think our guys have been doing a great job reaching out to fans at the different race sites. Sometimes I get just as excited seeing fans interact with the racers as I do racing. We have met alot of great fans like yourself over the years and think it very important to our sport. To you and your family Have a great Xmas and New Year..!

Ummm...not to quibble, but 'Toni' is how a female would spell that name. 'Tony' is the male spelling.

Tony,
No problem my friend and glad to help you guys.
With regards to Class 1, I think you will find only Hassan's two boats, Qatar 95 and 96 and Bills Maritimo 11 will run in the USA. They wont be running the Class 1 season next year, because of other issues. The other boats will continue to run their normal Class 1 series and I think the first race of the series will be down in Brazil.
Cheers
Ned

While I understand that our SUPERCAT series boats do not have the power that C1 has, I still think with some adjustments we can certainly have some good racing. I respect and envy any and all teams that can make the trip.I was quite impressed with the entire Qatar team. Not only are they very competitive, they were all "first class" gentlemen. I think If you ask Steve Curtis, given equal
equipment, there is plenty "qualified" talent in the US to be equally competitive. Also it was my understanding that most would run some races in the US and still run the C1 schedule. I will devote as much effort as possible to make
this as exciting as we can for the racers and the FANS.
Ned cant thank you enough for all you do and your support.
