The Future Of OSS?
#2
YES! OSS is moving forward. Biloxi, I believe is going to be the weekend of April, 28th. Bellow is an excert of an email sent to the OSS owners.
To our OSS Family,
It has been a very tragic and sad end to the 2011 racing season. We all continue to feel the loss of our family members last month in Key West very deeply. Let us not forget them, but move forward by dedicating our 2012 season to their memory.
We know that our race schedule looked promising at the beginning of the year, but quickly became almost non-existent after having to cancel a couple of sites. We understand and share your disappointment. We assure you that we continue to make every effort to secure exceptional sites for 2012. We remain in contact with locations that have approached us, as well as sites that we have approached, to commit to races in 2012.
We don’t have to tell you that the economy has yet to turn around; money continues to be tight and race sites have limited or no budget for races. You have been notified of the Biloxi race and the possibility of having a Kilo Run; hopefully you all will respond, be able to show your support and be a part of kicking off the 2012 season with an impressive turn out. More news will be passed along as soon as we can guarantee sites and changes in rules and fees.
We want to assure you that during the 2012 season, your OSS will continue to uphold the highest standard for safety with professionally trained Angels and with the national staff proving OSS the most professional offshore racing association in the country.
We wish you and your families a Very Merry Christmas and a most Happy and Safe Holiday Season.
