Default National and World Championships - how does it work?

Okay, I think I have it figured out but I want to make sure. The team with the most points after the Nationals wins the National title right? And the team that has the most points after the Worlds wins the World title.

Am I right?

What I don't know for sure is do the National points cumulate toward the Worlds? In other words, if Team A is leading by 3 points (sound familiar ) over Team B and Team A wins the race and Team B takes 3rd and there is now a 25 point gap is this how it stands going to the Worlds?

Cool Worlds

The only thing that the national races have to do with the worlds is to qualify you to run ,Whoever has the combined highest points of the two days wins the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

Also with the Nationals points winner has the priviledge of Putting the US1 on the boat. winner of the worlds just bragging rights. this could really evolve though with UIM boats putting specified motors and maybe racing in the states .

Well thats the way it's supposed to be but if you happen to race in the super classes such as super cat, super cat light, super V then the higher class gets US-1 because of scoring reasons(two or more boats with the same number on the course at the same time is to confusing)You can ask permission to put a special class designation(SCL-01) and may get permission to use this in place of #1

Im not sure but I believe that the winner of supercat is the only boat that can put US-1 on there boat. All the other winners use there class letter before the 1. I wouldnt know I have never won a national title but BJ could tell you that.

Now I am even more confused! So how do they determine who wins the Nationals? I assumed it was who had the most points FOR THE SEASON? Is that right?

Cool

That is correct the team with the most accumulated points for the season in each class becomes the new National Champion for that class; For that year.

Blackhawk its the most points for the season with the last race being the Bahamas. The Keywest race has nothing to do with a national title.

randy you are correct in that statement US1 is for the top class,
winners in other classes have thier class in front of thier number 1. ie: F-1-1 speaking of good luck in the bahamas in your quest to have that number on your boat.
