Frank,
The economy sunk a good # of teams, Some guys have moved up like Gecko boys, Lance(SpidermanSV), Patriot(SwitchSV) , Pantera(building an F2) and some have left for other reasons. I think these are the main reasons. We had 7 in Daytona, 6 in Marathon and Hopefully 10 in Savannah. If you ad just the above teams you are back at a dozen. I don't see the problem? The boats I see for sale are Gino's, Geckos, Patriot, Typhoon, these guys are selling because they bought new equipment for F1 or have moved up. Just my opinion |
Frank,
I understand but there are sponsors out there the seasons 2 races in..."and I'm not rubbing it in" but I'm signing with a sponsor on Friday. The sponsors are out there but there not going to come to us. Again nothing agianst SBI but I would have never got any of my sponsors with only 18 to 20 boats racing. Again the more boats we have show up at these races the better presentation we can summitt to sponsors and to me if I'm a fan I want to see 15 boats compeating against each other not 2. I hope we get you back along with some other boats out there and good luck and safe racing. Gino |
Originally posted by WATERBOY2 Frank, I disagree, the sport under the APBA LLC has changed for the better in my opinion due the competition based rules formula. What is the appeal of "Manufacturers" class racing in SBI.......no rules....no boats=no competition. What fun is "racing" by yourself? |
