"The guys in P5 are so evenly matched that they always put on a great show for the fans. In Atlantic City, Team Mission Impossible sank the boat and they're already back in racing form and out of the gate they lead the rest of the boyz around the track. Simply Awesome and Team Goumada, Sonic Boom and Panther were all in the hunt for second place until Bruce, Paul and Trent decided to take the lead. As the water got rougher toward the end of the race, Simply Awesome showed what a Pantera can do and they took the lead away from Mission Impossible. Team Goumada had to settle for third place."

"Back at Petersons for the awards party the boyz came into full swing with Joe Bayonne providing the entertainment behind the microphone. It was the perfect finish to a perfect day. And the perfect finish to a very successful season of racing at the Jersey Shore."

Racers usually wouldn't get caught dead on a Sea Ray.
But when the Ray is loaded with beer and higher octane fuel, and if it's owned by the main sponsor of Brioschi, then the racers make an exception. The Post-Post-Race Party lasted well into the night. |

And after all partying was done, White Trash went home to check whether the lights had come on on Long Island.

Joe Bayonne pays the Godfather some respect.

Ron:
Bert didn't toss the salami, he wouldn't do that, he' s got sea legs. He threw the salami out. Was a non-regulation salami anyway. |
Thanks guys...great pics.....

For finally making it to the start and finish
Now its time to get the quirks out and get ready for NY. Good to see you guys out there and share the excitement. Its been a long frustrating road for you guys. I know the feeling. But, its well worth the wait. HOORAH:D |
Thanks Bruce! Was a relief to finally make it out .
Still havent found the prob yet , but it looks like we need a little more air in the engine room. Time to put them big ole scoops on there:rolleyes: Thanks again for everyones help, JERSEY BOYZ RULE!!! Vinny & Marty |

I had ended up building them new extended hatches that were close to 10 feet long. This covered the area behind the bolsters.
|

They ended up weighing far less then the existing shorter ones...:D
|
VinMan, Are you not getting enough positive airflow in there now?
|
Folks: Be carefull with those scoops. They might cost you more in aerodynamic drag than what they (hopefully) gain in induced air pressure. At top speed, aerodynamic drag can become very significant.
|
I'd add NACA ducts on the hatches and run a PVC tube to blow air directly on the ingition boxes. Also Smitty said you need to lower the voltage by using a resistor.
I'd start by calling the company that makes the boxes and asking them what to do. You looked good out there. At least it's a cheap fix. |

NACA is another alternative. If you want them in fiberglass, let me know. I believe I have a set of molds for those. Single or double ducts. Otherwise you'll get them in plastic and rivet them in.
|
Tim...I sent you a pm...
|
Someone pls educate me on those NACA ducts.
