Shane, please give it a rest. I have no axe to grind in either direction, but these types of posts become tiresome to say the least. What diffference does it make to the other 11,000 members if your questions are answered or not. Since that post has already died a natural death, it's obvious that nobody else is interested in delving farther into it. If it's something that needs to be answered personally for you by a certain person, take it offline and email or pm them.

I'll Second That.

If Mike A elects not to answer your questions for any reason at all, that is his choice. If this inturn persuades you to never attend another APBA, APBA LLC, ORL or whatever race that is your choice. Can we move on,
Like how about those 24 ft skaters they are bad aZZ!!!
Pete,

My intent with the following is to answer your questions respectfully and honorably. I will try to do the best I can. If I come off brash, please do not take it personally.

but seeing you have no vested intrested in either side what warrants a explanation to you?????

To me in specific, no more than any other member of OSO. Some of us have chosen to pay to be members here and some have not. Personally I have. Does mean that whatever they ask or say does not warrant a reply? Absolutely not. I was a member of APBA for quite some time. I have chosen to not pursue racing because of this type of situation that has plagued this sport. I was also one of OSO's first members. Therefore, since I have paid for membership and been here since the beginning, according to your theory, I have a vested interest in OSO and should be able to do so. Just like those who have vested interest's in APBA and the LLC should have the same right on their boards. If people from the LLC come on here and promot themselves and use this forum to further their business, in this case the LLC, as a paying member my questions are entitled to be answered are they not? I ask the questions I do, if you notice, often in response to others posts. Here on OSO when someone doesn't answer the "tough questions" they are often times ridiculed and bashed, and typically one of the posts in the thread where the question was asked but not answered has a reply something to the effect of "the silence is defeaning", or "their silence speaks volumes".

many things in life go unanswered especially in politics, and business.

Agreed. Does tha make it right or wrong? NO! And often times this lack of being forthwright and upfront, and by dodging the questions and saying "shut up and race" comes back to bite you in the ass in both politics and business. If a politician were to be questioned about his business practices both politically and personally, and he or she simply chose not answer them, would you have confidence or faith in what they say? What about a business owner that admittedly had agreements/contracts that had been in place and were just working out a few details, and when it came time for you pick up the product they changed the terms of your agreement would you still do business with them and or not even question them? Or would you just say "okay I'll just shut up and take it"?

If Mike A elects not to answer your questions for any reason at all, that is his choice. If this inturn persuades you to never attend another APBA, APBA LLC, ORL or whatever race that is your choice.

Absolutely. And I have voted with my dollar subsequently by not racing for the time being until many of the issues that have been plaguing the sport for decades get resolved. Once they do I may then reconsider. However, he cannot come on here and promote his organization and not expect tough questions to be asked. But when you post information about yourself and a situation, in which you make specific statements, it is my opinion that you best be able to back them up when called upon to do so, otherwise you lose credibility. Some may not agree with me but that is okay. Just as I do not agree with everyone else all the time.

I must admit however, that intellectually stimulating conversation is very enjoyable to me so long as it is done so courteously and respectfully. If that commonality can be maintained, I will always gladly discuss topics like this and be the first to offer my hand in friendship following and buy the first drink. Just because two parties do not necessarily agree or question the other, that certainly does not preclude them from in depth and probing discussions.

Oh, and BTW...if we are ever at an event together...YOU Pete have a ride in a "little" offshore boat!

Let's let nature takes its course. Just like when OSO makes a decision to change the way we run the website, defending ourselves just fuels the fire and brings the devils advocates out to play.

The race world will be what it is when the parties involved are done making the attroneys rich. Just remember that we are all here in one place and it would not be very hard to start a new Racing body should it ever come to that. After all the Jersey Boys did it and had a lot of fun and success. The Chesapeake boys did it also. Not to the degree that Mike A. has done it but if you water, feed, and provide sunlight to anything, it will grow.

No lets all get back to our regularly scheduled program, high performance boats.

Thank you!!

Shane: I have almost no idea what this is all about ... but ... in regards to question #9:

An LLC with assets and liabilities can not eliminate the liabilities simply by decaring themselves insolvent and transferring the assets to a new LLC. I believe that would be fraud and a Judge would not allow it if an action was brought against the new LLC to collect on the liability. The court would not allow them to use the new LLC as a means to eliminate the prior obligation.

You also use the word "member". I assume they are using the LLC to eliminate any personal liability. Unless there were personal guarantees the Members wouldn't be liable in either case.

Shane,
Thanks for the offer in the little boat that can, i rode in Ryan Beckley's a few weeks ago and was truly amazed.

as for my early post, the point i was trying to get across is , on a daily basis, we as the general public get lied to by the politicians that run this country, do we question this, yes , and complain about how they got into office , etc etc,. Being of logical thinking, you could post a million times the same questions and a million times go unanswered, if you truely believe that continued postings will get you the desired results I.E. explanations to your questions, then by all means pursue. But in MHO, you have fallen on deaf ears at this point. just .02 from the peanut gallery.

Isn't it amazing what such a little boat is capable of?

Unfortunately, and fortunately, that is a double edged sword. We are blessed and priviledged to have that right (to question). You are correct, and politicians the world around are corrupt and liars! Regardless of party affiliation. Some are just worse and more open about it than others.

Being of logical thinking, you could post a million times the same questions and a million times go unanswered, if you truely believe that continued postings will get you the desired results I.E. explanations to your questions, then by all means pursue.

Some of what I am trying point out without having to come right out and say it, is that by asking these tough questions several times, and the continuous lack of response by those who can answer them, really in effect answers the questions by default. Unfortunately, what some fail to realize is that by not answering, they really ARE answering. I am simply trying to illustrate the point that many either fail to recognize or simply ignore. Amazingly, nothing that I have said or asked has been opposed or contradicted. The "company line" so to speak in response has just been...SHUT UP AND RACE! So by that logic, if a Presidential Candidate, say the incumbant were to be participating in a debate, and when asked a tough question, and he or she responded by saying "SHUT UP AND VOTE FOR ME" do you not think that would raise suspicions? Or, do you think that people would just follow along and say "YEAH, SHUT AND VOTE FOR HIM!?" I guess that this question was already answered during the Clinton Administration.

But in MHO, you have fallen on deaf ears at this point. just .02 from the peanut gallery.
