Bruce,
The cabin is not much of an issue. Don't have one now, probably wont need one in the future. The wife wants a porta-potty
, but other than that I won't use a cabin other than for storage. How many people actually use there cabin? Most boaters I know don't, but everyone that see's my cat points out that it doesn't have a cabin (no chit!). I can't stand the smell of used boat cabins anyway. A race boat isn't a problem for me as long as it has some space in the cockpit and has all controls accessable from the drivers seat. The thing that does bother me a litle about a used race boat is that you know it has had the chit beat out of it most of its life.
I think you're right about going P class, if I decide to go that route in the future. I probably won't have the time to dedicate to the full F1 schedule.
Gino,
What size are the Activator's and Kryptonite's you're referring to? Where can I find info on Daves boat? What happened with your Fountain???
Thanks guys.

Right now there. are three top boats in the front at each race. Lavey Craft, Activator and Kryptonite and after Ft Lauderdale I personaly would now buy and Kryptonite. "Sorry Randy" Go look how they are built and go for a ride in one. If you want a boat that is a go rough water boat Lavey has 29 that's 30'9" over all and it won the worlds in 2001. With a 500hp it's a 80-81 mph boat and in the rough it rides nice.

Daves boat is still available...2002 27 foot Activator
No more that 50 hours on it. You may want to paint it , but thats all. It run very well and can compete in F-1 w/ no problem. I believe he is asking low 40s for it.

You guys need to understand, the 30' Superboat is not that much slower that the rest, For the last 3 years We had to race 375lbs more that the Activators and the Kryptonites, They reduced our weight a little in Ft. Lauderdale were we tied for second, really finishing third but we still had to weigh more that everyone else. I really thought this year would be different with the 1,1,1 concept but I guess that was wishful thinking. These boats are true F1 boats built to the original rules, back seats and cabin layout w/V berth.
