I agree with you 100% with regard to deception . your opinions and speculations are well recieved and I can understand your point. Please understand that my previous post, other than disagreeing that Bertel, Orange Smoke, and Throttleman are one and the same, was directed toward OUTER42 and his unecessary comments toward Peconic whenever he gets the chance.

How do you explain the registration dates?

Orange Smoke 1/01
Throttleman 12/01
Peconic 10/02

Is Bertle so clever that he registered two aliases then waited a year and 10 months before posting under Peconic? Or, did he know OSS would start up before anyone else. He's a clever fellow that Bertle.

Even if it is the same person, I still don't see what he gains nor do I see deception regarding the information posted.

I tried to do a search but it only goes back 12 months. The mystery lives on.
There were 18,027 members of OSO, as of 10:40 PM EST on April 7, 2004. How many of those have actually posted or even plan to post? Obtaining an "alias user name", even a year old existing one, would be very easy.

As far as the deception of anonymous posting for OSS gain............the OSO members that have e-mailed or PM'ed me so far appear to feel otherwise.

Chalk it up to interesting commentary, that's what OSO is all about. If we always agreed with each other, this would be a boring place.

Look, guys.

It costs time, money, and a little bit of creativeness to develop these pictorials. It gets really old if the same bunch of crazed mullahs (you know who you are) pees (sometimes literally) on the work. If some are too puerile to understand that, then the work will be taken elsewhere.

Ok, Einstein. I see intelligence reaching new heights.

Now your latest theory is very intriguing. I don't want you to tell me how it's done, I want you to show it to me:

Try to register under "Peconic," a quite old, existing OSO name. If you succeed, I promise I will never ever return to OSO. If you fail, I expect you to do so likewise.

Some people may have issues with Bertel, but that does not give them the right to bash him in here.

If Phantom can play nice, then the rest of you should be able to...Outer42. Take the personal issues to email or PM instead of the open forum.

It's that time of year to be a hard ass. Read my signature. I will be fair in editing and deleting, but you guys know the rules and should learn to self govern.

Bertel does put a lot of effort into some great threads.

You just don't get it do you? I don't want you off of OSO. I respect your opinion and passion for the sport........but I do question your tactics when you are trying to make a point.

All I want is to be able to come to OSO and be able to follow what is going on in Offshore Powerboat Racing without reading what I see as propaganda from an anonymous poster with a hidden agenda. That is what most want. I thought that was why you created wetpits.com.

Posting under three different user names is deceptive when you are on a board of a racing organization and are trying to sway racer's opinions. The racers are smart guys and gals. Give them facts and let them make an honest and informed decision. "Winning" by using smoke and mirrors really isn't worth much in my book.
