No you can't put a 2.5 on a surfboard. It needs to be big enough to hold you and Augie AND still float.

I would think 19' would be getting kind of small. What size?

Jr. has a 18 ft checkmate we'll throw in the mix, ski line is optional. I bought him the boat when he was 4 yrs old, talk about seat time, I've seen him do things in this boat you would not believe.

Smitty,
With finally getting the interest going again with this new class, I personally don't think you want to start off by changing the rules already.
If word gets out, someone will show up with an Allison and a 2.5 Merc and blow everyone away. Or no one will show at all knowing that that can happen. You can rest assured no one would come back after that!

Keep everything the way it is and I hope to see a good turn out...

Will Bruce be putting a boat together now too? This could be real exciting....

The 18 Checkmate might be able to run in the Local Class that the CBPBA puts on. Check with Ted "Insptech".

Sorry, I was on the road tonight or I would have posted. What Ron said is true. We have time alloted for a completely separate SOB race if we have enough boats. This course is perfect and you guys can really let them rock, so let's get 'er done! This will be the best race weekend of the year and you guys can get in on the poker run on Saturday too(no open Bay running).

We have built it, you have to come

Question Re: S.O.B. Class Website Now Online!!!

Ted,

I updated the website with the latest info. Have you had any local interest in the SOB Class? I thought we may have had 2 or 3 locals down there wanting to run....
