Final MOPRA/LSCORA Party
#1
Just thought I would pass this on:
Friends & fellow members:
Just a quick note to let you all know that we have set a date for the final Mopra / Lscora party....Saturday, June 25th, starting mid-afternoon. It will take place in Clinton Township and will be an excellent opportunity to reunite with old friends and reminisce about the incredible history of our club and the characters in its ranks. We plan to have some old and new raceboats as well as 30+ years worth of memorabilia on display in addition to having a charity benefit component also.
More detailed information will be coming soon. Please forward this date to any past members that may be interested as we do not not have addresses for many of the "old-timers".
This should be a memorable event....mark your calendars and feel free to contact me or any of the board members if you have any questions or suggestions.

WOW, And what a party it was
The 'Museum" was very impressive, for people that were not there the museum consisted of thousands of offshore pictures and memorabilia, imagine a very large house with absolutely nothing in it except every single wall of every single room consisted of floor to ceiling offshore pictures, Bob and co. did an unbelievable job. It was great to see everybody from the past and present.
Thank you,
Lee

Yes the party was indeed awesome. The offshore history was incredible!! Not everybody knows how many famous national racers came from the southeast Michigan neck of the woods and the quality if the races held here and the other Great Lakes. The "North Coast" races can be as challenging as any where in the world.
Thank you Lscora/ Mopra and especially Mr's Costa & Foran for a day to go down in Offshore history. Nice place you have also ( Party Palace!!) Thank you also for the start up for the St. Clair race. Without Lscora/Mopra it would not have happened. It was also good to see the GLOPRA partyers. Without the GLSCS, we don't see each other often enough.
For the more than 30 yrs of offshore racing, you went out in style. What a ride!!!!

A good time was had by all (from what I remember)... There were boaters who raced over 30 years ago. The museum was awesome. Props go out to Bob, Jim, Dave, and the rest of the crew who helped put this party on!!! It's hard to get volunteers to help at a race site, but throw a party, and everyone comes out!!!!
I came in 5th in the Billy Miller race!!!
Nice to have met you Lee!!!
GREAT JOB on the food goes out to Billy G, with the help of Patty!!!!!
