The Hyatt??? I think. The hotel is where the poker run is held, and the docks are. It is a sweet set up

We are looking at around the 40' boat. My main worry about the boat is the constant engine maintenance. I am not wanting to get such a high tuned engine that I am having problems every weekend. How do the different cats handle the water compared to the V hull? Do the cats basically glide over the waves while the v cuts them? I will use it mainly on Grand but will trailer it occasionally to take to other lakes. Are there many different ride characteristics between the different major brands (MTI, Skater, etc...)? Thanks

as far as a lake boat gets, a 40 cat will handle anything you can throw at it.... LOTO, Grand, Texoma... you will leave all your vee bottom buddies behind even with a mild powered cat.
you can get a boat in that length with mild power that you won't have to mess with everyweekend and will last you several seasons with just normal maint....
your question about MTI, Nor-tech or Skater will be more what you want to do with your boat and the looks of each... nor-techs will have more cabin/storage area where the skater and MTI (sit-down) versions won't if that even matters to you... look at all of them, ride/drive them all and then make your decision... have fun

I agree with all of that.
