I'm not sure what you are going to have done, but those engines are not that hard to work on yourself. Get the service manual from mercury and give it a try. (You can always take it to a mechanic if you F up)

If you have a specific problem with an outboard of that type you might try posting about it in the technical section over at Scream & Fly.

We do lowers on those, but if you need comp work check with Bills Marine, in skiatook. I have no idea if he has good mechanics anymore, but I would bet to say he has hung more 250+ hardware than most dealers in the state. But impellers and lowers are gravy, do you have sports masters on those?
