I bought my boat in March and had the "splash test" in Lake Michigan launching in Winthrop Harbor Illinois (just south of the Wisconsin border). It was warmer than this year but it was phenomenal! No other boats were on the water, and the boat ran great. We had winter coats on but really didn't need them. It was brisk but sunny and the sun shining off the water was beautiful.

Scott,
I brought the crane up to Petoskey and straightened the lighthouse up after that storm.

The last time I was out on Lake Michigan in March was in St. Joseph when I was in High School in 1976. We were water skiing with wet suits on.

I guess a good snowmobiling winter is a bad boating spring. I guess I can't have everything.
