Hope they spend some money on floating docks with some good padding on the sides to protect the boats. It would also make it easier for boaters to get into and out of their boats when water levels change. The docks are just as important as the restaurant to boaters who spend thousands on their boats.

I belive the dock will be 170'. dont quote me on that
And I dont think it will be a seawall, probably just poles making it difficult to use bumpers.
I will check on the details tomorrow.

Default Docks and no-wake

This is good stuff, long overdue.

The biggest issue will be wakes on that part of the river. What exactly is the no-wake zone around there? Wyandotte is supposed to be 500yds from shore (I believe). The question is: how far from shore are the red markers that mark the eastern side of that channel?

I have cranked through that area hundreds of times on plane, and as long as I hugged the red markers, I never had any issues with the law.

Will this change?

Thanks,
Brian

Brain!

You have cranked through that area hundreds of times on plain and and have had no issues with the law. I have never seen you and the P4-33 Fountain other then on plain whenever you are in the boat and you have had no issues with the law because they couldn't catch up to you.

You are responsible for your wake and any damage that you do. I do not belive it has to be marked no wake.
If your wake is preventing costomers from coming in and the bar complains enfough it will be partoled and enforced by the police.

The Wyandotte location will not be named Jacks. The new name will be JB's Warf.

Jacks in St Clair will open this weekend I belive and JB's Warf is set to open May 2nd.

No arguments there... but IF the Sheriff, Coast Guard, etc will be enforcing wake infringements, they should have something to enforce. Chasing after someone because they have caused damaged is too late.

No wake "zones" are published for the entirety of the Detroit River, whether they are marked with buoys or not. The question was whether the red markers directly across from Jacks in Wyandotte are inside or outside of that 500 yards.

...and AB, would you expect anything different?
