The run would take place out on Lake Michigan so realy any size boat is fine. Some of the best memories with my dad were on a skater that we tipped the tack at about a buck 46. But thanks for the dates I was looking to throw this run sometime within the first few weeks of june because from being around my dads shop since I was little I have learned that people tend to break some stuff around the 4th of july.

BBW, I knew your Dad for about 25 years or so and I remember when he started his business...I helped him paint his first shop. I know he was a very giving man and loved boating!
I do not know how you are going to pull off a fun run in June....sounds a little too soon to organize---but hey, I hope you can pull it off. Maybe later in August would be better---perhaps after the Michigan City Race...??? I am from the St. Joe area, so whatever the date is we will try to be there!
Anyway, I really liked your Dad. I had invited him on my boat for the Boyne Thunder and the Traverse City Blast Poker Runs for this year. He will be sorely missed.

By the way, the DNR launch ramp in St. Joe/Benton Harbor...(actually it is in Benton Harbor on Riverview Drive) has launch ramps that can easily accomodate a 38 footer.....I have seen a 51' Outerlimits there. However, it is best to use the launch ramp that's on the end (the farthest out). I have always launched there and the river water is merky and you cannot see the bottom or anything there rarely...but I keep my drives trimmed up a bit while in that area.

Worked for Wolffie for over 5 years and all the boats we worked on we launched out of the farthest ramp out and never had a problem with any of them, most were 42' and under but I think we did put a 47' in at one time and don't ever recall having a issue. Hope you can get something together BBW, that would be cool.
