Default Going rate for indoor storage around Detroit???

Well just lost out on my shop space today (I was leasing from a friend until they found a full price renter.

Starting to shop around a bit and considering leasing more than I need and doing some sub leases for winter storage.

Curious what is typical for indoor storage around here???

Depends...I winterize my boat, so heated storage isn't an issue, but yes, there is the cost of winterizing then summerizing when the season starts up again. But you'll pay more for heat, access, alarms and close to "wherever". I go out in the country, about 25 minutes away, find a farmer who has a secure outbuilding and simply work a deal out with him. Last year, locked out building, cement floor, and sealed windows for five months cost me $200.00. When I went to pick up my boat in the spring, there we about 20 other boats in that building keeping my honey company. I'm going back!!!

check with county fairgrounds in the thumb area. most usually store boats, Rv's in their buildings over the winter for very low fees.
