We are going. We have been for the last 5 or 6 years to kellys. That is probably where we are going this year but could change. Right now our plans are kellys Saturday and the bay on Sunday. It has never been to cold to have fun. It has been windy enough that I was glad neversatisfied was there to help get into the dock. Although last year his drink mixing was the reason I never made it off the dock lol. Hope to see you guys.

Quick hijack! Question for you Erie regulars. The Casino has a fun run listed on there calendar for this weekend, is it a boating event or what?

Yes they do it every year. It is an AYC event. It think it is like $60 per person if just going for the day and $125 w/hotel based on double occupancy at the islander hotel. The day trip is separate from the overnight. So basically the Jet Express makes 2 round trips. Day trip is Saturday and overnight is Saturday to Sunday afternoon/evening. Normally they depart from Ford Yacht club. However two years ago they had to bus everyone from ford yacht club to Wyandotte yacht club because the wind was blowing the water out into the lake. It was too shallow to get the jet express into ford yacht club. It was wicked that day. My wife and I went in the Velocity and there were small craft warnings (not advisors, but warning). Winds were sustained 25mph with gusts to 35+. It was a solid 5-6' waves with some upwards of 8'. It was a following sea so it was a wet, wet ride. When we got to PIB, everyone that (I knew) that took the jet express was in shock that we even tried. I guess it was a very rough ride in the jet express. Numerous People were knocked over as the waves tipped the jet express... I won't do that again. While not the safest thing I have ever done, I actually had a blast, but my wife was not amused.... At about half way I asked if she wanted to turn around. She just laughter and said why bother.

Forgot to mention the overnight trip sells out fast, and usually goes on sale in the early part of summer. If your interest, you might want to get I touch with one of the AYC yacht clubs. If you need a contact I sure I can get a name and number.

Somewhat, kinda hard to explain, you have all weekend to get you stops in, run with a pack of friends/boats or run ll by yourself and make stops... it's different but still fun!

Do they do that every year with the Jet Express? That would actually be a pretty cool ride from up there over to PIB.
It's usually 50's and wind blowing hard. The last time I was over for Halloween there were 2 boats in the marina. That being said, seriously considering doing it myself this year, depending on if my friends with the mothership make it over or not.

This year we are def planning to go over to PIB for Halloween. Plan on leaving early saturday just because it doesn't take long to get dark now and winds are usually calmer in the morning. Depending on which way there blowing will determine which launch I use. The only issues I'm having is what I'm going to dress up as

Last year I went up for Halloween to KI's. Artie told me that PIB's docks were shut off and the place was a ghost town. I think the 2 boats you were refering to were mine and his. It was cold, in fact I have a picture of my gf wearing a North Face down jack with the hood up. I myself had jeans and a hoodie and loved every minute of it. Water conditions were fair and skys were clear prob highs in the 50's.
