PIB / Kellys Bound

I like kelleys way more then pib. Being married with a 12 year old probably has a lot tof do with it. Just not into a bunch of drunken college dudes trying to hit on my wife when she is standing right next to me. Gets old after the first 5 times it happens. It was better back in the day when the majority of the people there where boaters or locals. Just my opinion so don't tare me apart over it lol

Park Place boat club satisfies a lot of your preferences, plus nice clean private showers and good food. I think any place gets old after you spend so much time there. I would like to explore a little more, and run down to CLE, but prefer to go with another boat in case you need assistance.
PIB>Kellys for me, but depends what you're into. Also, it's nice because I have some friends that go up to public docks, so many more places to bounce around and visit. I am not into big drunken crowds anymore either, there are places to relax @ PIB, and the boat club is quite with private slips, they also tend to attract a few offshores every weekend, met some cool people up there. Usually there are 4-8 offshores @ A & B dock at Park Place. Also, a handful more on public docks. PLUS, it;s a 22 mile run from the marina, so you get a little more of a run in, and you can zip around the islands, or stop at Kellys, eat, and then continue on to PIB.
JRiggs, ever take that thing out by yourself? I would love to take mine by myself, but I love my paint more than my docking skills also, need a bow catcher/tender/lookout.....

Hey to each his own. Kelleys is hard for me because I can't get into portside with my sucky docking skills, so I am always stuck at the casino. Plus, I like the entertainers at PIB, Mad Dog, Pat Shepard, Killer Flamingos, etc. Seems Like everytime I go to Kellys, there is some Jackazz DJ at the Casino that plays nothing but rap. My kids are on my boat most weekends (15, 13) and rarely are they exposed to the shenanigans that have made PIB famous, but then again we are selective where we go. Spend a lot of time at the Crews Nest and Frostys, and avoid all the swim up bars.....
Key phrase in this was,"Crews Nest".

Figured I would start a thread for whoever on here is headed to the islands any given weekend. A chance to check in here to see who will be around, meet other boaters on the site.
I am going up this Sat 6/3 - I'll be over @ Park Place on PIB, say hello if you're around
I'll be up there next weekend too. Might stop at Kellys
Happy & safe boating all!
(Tim, no need to check in here, everyone knows your boat is glued to the Casino wall. Ron, you never leave your dock, slim chance you do this season, check in here.)
this is what my boat looks like when it floats.....
