Default 32 Hustler with arneson drives

Looking at an older 86 32 with arneson drives, twin big blocks 425 hp each. How is this boat? How do they handle? Can they cruise at say 30-40 mph without getting off plane? What type of top end would i see? How do they compare to say bravo drives?

thanks
dj

That boat should run in the low 80,s
The boat will stay on plane just under 25 mph.
The Drives are bullet proof, faster and not even comparable to a bravo.

Draw backs are parts are becomming scarse on the second effort stuff.

Is this the one in Canada?

Which drives does the boat have on it?

1600's, ASD8's or the ASD6's?

I have a 311 formula with Kaama drives and I love them. A buddy has an 84 32' Hustler with asd 6 drives. I new the original owner of the boat. Dino sheets showed right at 500 hp and the boat ran 86.

Does this boat have "Huster" on the side in teal green? I had a survey done on it about 2 yrs ago when I was looking at it. Owner at that time screwed me out of my deposit. Anyway, if it is make sure the starboard motor is alright.
Long story short, the oil cooler sprung a leak on my test ride. Had a shop fix it and boat appeared to run fine. I backed out in fear since it is possible that the boat got cold enough in the guys garage to crack the cooler.
It may be fine but just a heads up to have it checked out. By the way the hull had very little moisture in it.
PM me if you need more details.
