Exclamation Where to put water pickups for whipples

Rob or anybody installed water pickups on 388 hustler for whipple intercooler? Can I install them on the upper step on back of the boat or do I have to put them down on the lower step by the drain plug?

Rob where did you get your trasome pickup tube? Will one tube supply enough water for both intercoolers or do you get some water from the sea pump? Whipple wants a pickup for each intercooler and the tubes the use hang down past the bottom which cost me 4mph. Any help would be great. Thanks Brett

Dustin at the time "recommen" the Imoc offshore style pick up for the most flow,He said one would work. The tube type that came with the kit I didnt like and I dont think he suplys a pickup anymore,The outlet on the pick up is the 1 18/ going into the sea strainer coming out with #12 high flows in to each cooler,He said this would be enough flow,I am not mesuring any water press in the strainer up to 70-80. Dustin said I need to read it at the inlet fitting on the innercooler, haven't done that yet, Also its been running fine for 3 1/2 summers. If I had to do it again I would get the adjustable one from Teague,

You might ck the water presure first and then start triming the tube hanging down ?????

Rob what kind of plug are you running? Brand and what number. Whipples says one colder then stock (ngk 7). But mine seems to run better with the stock (ngk 6). Any input would help. Is your water pickup flush with the botom of the boat?
