This wasn't fun doing ,came in wrong color twice:(

The new blue plate and step plate, the new style plate takes the larger stainless cup holders, the bottom of the plate is machined for the lip on the cup holder. It will hold a can with the thicker foam style huggie now.I need to do the handles now but its not going to match:(So Ill have to send it out to a powder coater to do it all.

Also there not the exact same size (od)as the old ones ,you'll have to fill one screw hole,Didn't understand why the changed the size, they could of just change the hole size, the step plate id smaller than the older style. You will have to cut some fiberglass in the cup holder hole for the larger cup. It nice having the larger cups now.

Rob-excellent info on reskinning the upholstery. I'd bet just about all of the older Hustlers could benefit from this upgrade. I know the padded engine hatch cover replacement is high on your list. Great pics,as usual.

Looks great Rob. I made a filler cushion for our sofa last year, only split the cushions down the center (2 piece) so I can store them in the V-berth one on each side to look like the seat back cushions. Made the base out of 1/2" plastic board sold in 4'X8' sheets (can't remember what it's called) which stores under V-berth cushion.
I also need my headrest's and sun deck reskinned was there much difference from original and new upholstery?
Thanks Steve

I already got the skin for the sun pad, Mine has yellowed a little bit so its not really bad enough , so I am keeping the new one in the house till it gets real noticeable.:D

Thanks,Id like to see a pick of yours when ya get a chance.

Mcleod is the one that makes them for Hustler,so there exact, the white part matched real close,I guess the old vinyl wasn't faded much ,I just had cleaned to death the blue embroidery(bleached out).I sent it to them and let them recover it all. They replaced one board and I got them to replace all the T nuts, didn't even have to make sure they used stainless staples or Tnuts:D All the holes lined up etc

Strip, What was involved in removing the headrest from the front bolster? Tore up my ankle last week at work so I will get pictures as soon as I can get up in the boat. Got to get back to work so I will stop spending money (bored sitting home all day). I ordered new Sony I-Pod receiver, 1pr. of 10" sub's, 2pr. of 8" coaxial, 2pr. of 6.5" coaxial, and additional 500.1 amp all Memphis Marine. Wife wants me to order A/C this week also, talked to Ocean Breeze they said they apply extra solder and bracing to withstand bashing of speedboats. All companies recommended 10,000 BTU

Sorry for rambling pain med. finally wore off and I'm bored
Steve

you can reach from the bottom of the seat, its plastic up in the , I had to cut the opening bigger to get my hand in there, doesent hurt anything, the head rest has 4 bolts, its hard to get to and there staples sticking in the cavity up in there. it cuts the shet out of ya. it beats pulling the hole bolster out.I think the bolt heads were 7/16 used a 1/8 ratchet. The bolster piston, motor is in the way when sticking your arm in there.

when ya do the AC install would ya take pictures of the install

Rob

Thanks customryder
