Was considering purchasing a 32 Fountain until I started getting getting insurance quotes today. State Farm won't touch it even though they used to insure my dads 35 Fountain and have no problems insuring a 29 Outlaw. Progressive is not writing new policies for boats over 30'. Only quote I've gotten so far is from Markel for $3400/yr I know I'm on the gulf coast but this is crazy. Is it going to be possible to insure this boat for under $1500/yr? 29 years old, perfect driving record, great credit score, etc. Going to call Total $ and Worldwide tomorrow, anyone else I should try?

LA boat will be extremely tough to get under $1500 given its Gulf Coast... good luck!

Talked to him today. Very helpful and gave me a great quote on a 29 Formula a couple of weeks ago but due to my age and 30+ boat Markel was the only company he could offer me for the Fountain.

I live in Prairieville, who did you get insurance with in Baton Rouge? I can't seem to find any for a 32' sunsation.
