It was pretty easy for us to insure since the value wasn't all that high??

Yeah State Farm will not even write a cat policy in Florida.

Not only Florida. I started my insurance career with State Farm. They do not insure cats (intentionally). Some slip on the books from time to time.

You may have to insure it through the national water safety foundation. They will insure it. I was looking at a 99 spectre in the past and was having the same problem with Markel. Do a search and find them.

I would check with your state insurance commission before you get involved with them or go to their website and see how they feel about US laws and our constitution.

lol no, they're solid as a ROCK...I used to own a 98, ran it in the Pacific Ocean a good bit...hell, a friend of mine recently bought that "wild thang" 96 triple motor deal that "bounced" off the bridge in Norcal a few years back--that one is damn solid even after big repairs
