Default Insurance shopping question

When shopping around for best rate, does your credit get checked with each quote?
Concerned about the possibility of too many credit inquiries affecting my credit score.

Thanks,

Kurt

I don't know this for a fact but I have been told it doesn't affect your score. I think they call it a soft inquiry.............Don't ask what a 'hard' inquiry is

To Answer your question....

Most High Performance insurance carriers DO NOT check your credit and your rates are not based off of credit. The majority of credit scoring occurs when you shop around with carriers like, Allstate, State Farm, Progressive, AmFam etc.

When they run your insurance score, it is not an actual "hit" or "inquiry" on your credit report or score, so it does not affect your credit score and no one else can observe that someone pulled your insurance score other than you.

I hope this helps.
