Loss ratio's are horrible for cats. Insurance companies have to make money to pay claims... Pretty simple. I have a cat and also in the insurance business. My bill pisses me off!

Funny you bring that up.

I was in Havasu last year with a a few freinds. We where cruising down the river i was going about 95 in my cat i look over and my buddy in his 25ft boat is going right with me in his v hull just standing on the prop. I remember thinking that exact same thing.

Stacy I imagine you might be very busy with the twins, I just would like to have a ball park number so if the starting point is still $3,500.00 that would be a deal breaker, very unfortunate. That's too much for a three month boating season.
Thanks

There are two markets that will insure this boat (due to it being less than 26ft). 1 has a minimum premium of roughly $3500. The other carrier that would potentially write this (depending upon your boating resume) is Markel. You would need to contact a Markel agent for pricing and review of qualification. It is my opinion that if the boat and you as an insured were accepted by Markel, the premium would be much more competitive....

Call this agent, I refer anyone that is a good fit for Markel to him. He has been writing DIRECT with Markel for years and can make it happen for you if its possible.
