We are a repair shop with boat us. They don't skimp or really ask questions. Very very easy to work with and all they want is it fixed right and they pay very quickly. Now progressive is a whole other story they are a joke. Last guy we dealt with was idiot but he's marine certified(sortified) here's a good one . We have a ranger that hit a log and tore motor off and ended up in the lake. They asked my customer "why didn't you stop" he replied his foot slipped off the brake lol! Then they commence to say you can buy 250 pro xs engine all day for 3500.00 that's when I lost it and started defending my customer but I did tell him I will buy every 250 pro xs he can find new for 5000.00 and sell for 10k and they'd be gone in minutes. Moral of the story is deal with boat insurance companies. Markel,State Farm, shelter, boat us,American family, farm bureau those would be my choice. I use State Farm on pleasure boats and boat us on my ranger cuz they cover tournaments if something happens.

While I am embarrassed to admit it, for the sake of others on this board I'm going to fess up..
We (the wife, kids and I) spent last New Year's week at Lake Havasu. This was our 6th year in a row and we alternate between boating and dirt toys. Since the weather was good, we brought the boat. The water was low due to on-going work at Parker Dam but appeared acceptable. Although I dinged a prop, we ended up boating all week and had an excellent time. On our last day, we hit the North side in the Afternoon, As I came around (hundreds of yards south of the river entrance), the glare got extremely bad and I slowed way down. It didn't help and I ended up soft grounding on the sand as I didn't see it. I called Vessel Assist and they sent a boat out. The single boat couldn't pull us off and I was told I had to sign an agreement if I wanted further assistance. Since it was now late Afternoon and getting a little cold, I did. Vessel Assist then dispatched another boat. Once hooked up, the two boats were able to pull us free in about 10 minutes. They then charged my credit card $5,583.00.
While my insurance picked up a big chunk of it (I have a large deductible), I am still somewhat flabbergasted. I had no idea that this is what they had in mind.
Just a word to the wise here.

See.....the guys here...tow boat and boat us......(Cape Coral) would have gotten you off under coverage. The guys that got me have a record of doing EXACTLY what they did to me to others. I truly wish I could contact the others, but we don't have grounds to get their service records.....
Yet......
Too bad it's been over 90 days.....you could dispute the charge...
