Insurance Underwriting
What company underwrites your 75+ mph boats? I'd like to see the variations in underwriters.
Please only answers for the Insurance Company, not agents. So, not looking for answers like Sy, Stacey, etc.
Looking for State Farm, Farmers, Foremost etc. that actually underwrite your policy.
Personally, State Farm underwrites my Outerlimits. I have enough insurance business to throw at a Company where I don't need to pay Foremost rates, etc.
I'm just curious who still underwrites and carries some of your boats.
Also, curious how many out there have bundled coverage for homes/boats, etc. all with one Company. If I wanted to move from SF, I'm not sure what my other options would be.
Anyone carry a 90-100+ mph boat with a carrier other than Foremost/American Modern/ or specialty boat insurer that just has your boat only?

National Marine Underwriters has my 38 TSTG. Fair rate, agreed value, and insures the trailer. I claimed some major damage to the trailer a while back. They paid, handled the claim great, and didn't bump my rate.

State Farm insured my 37AT for the entire 12 years I owned it.
They did not want to at first, but my agent & his assistant (assistant mostly) went to bat for me with underwriting, and got it done.
I considered leaving in 2015 as Liberty Mutual was cheaper for literally all of my other policies, PLUP, cars, bike, little boat, etc. etc. (And I get a corporate discount with LM.) BUT they would not cover my Active Thunder. To me, it was not worth switching at the time. But now that the AT is gone, I may take another pass at LM. The issue is that my agent's assistant is literally like family to me. She even told me to leave when I told her LM was cheaper a while back.

So you're asking me to show my poker hand???? lol Seriously though, there could be several options, call me and I can run through each carrier and if they fit you and your boat.
