Default Insurance Recommendation

Just got my Geico policy for my boat. $1500 to $2600 increase. Never a claim. 2001 27 Kryptonite Center Console w/twin 225's and trailer. Sound high? Thanks, Mike

Forget direct insurers like Geico and Progressive. I use All-State.

Progressive has been very good to me...rates were half what others quoted....including Farm Bureau who I'd had for over 40 years.

i just switched away from Progressive after years of no claims because when I did have an issue, they reduce the amount they pay out for drives on the age of your boat. Paid them over $5k across the years. Got back $0.00 when I needed them. Insurance is a scam.

Damn, that sucks.
Yes, I agree, and not to hijack the thread but had a similar issue with Farm Bureau Insurance. I was like, "After 40+ years THIS is how you treat me?"

I called Wozencraft twice. Talked with a young woman and gave her my policy coverages that I had then. (Apples to Apples)Ask her for a quote. She said she called me back with the premium figure. NOTHING.
A week later I called back. Talked with a gentleman. Gave him the same figures and he said he'd call me back. NOTHING.

I figured if they can't call me back for a quote, what are they going to do if I really needed their assistance..

+1 on Allstate.
Every couple years I shop around and they are still the cheapest.
No claims so can’t speak on that aspect.
Customer service is top notch.

I’ve had zero luck with Wovencraft. Never called me back after me calling them. Took my business elsewhere.

Same here on Wozencraft. I could never get a return call either.
