Re: 27 sport interior pics
does anyone know if there was two different cockpit layouts in 1980 for the 27 sport. if so does anyone know if the race cockpit was smaller. anyone have pics of that layout. my layout seems a lot smaller then these posted. also my hatch seems a lot bigger then these. was there two differnet hatches .my boat came from factory with twin 260 mercs and trs drives. any halp would be appricated. i will try an post pics of my cockpit to help yall help me out. the cockpit it has now was made by the the previous owner. thanks in advance

Magnum would probably do anything the customer wanted...so a three man bolster and a smaller cockpit may be special order.
The big hatch your boat has usually meant big blocks.....and in my opinion was probably not factory....but I don't know for sure.
The hatch that Crackerbox has is the small block TRS hatch.
The small block volvo hatch was flat.....

Re: 27 sport interior pics
thanks 24 degrees....
i agree with above posts... lots of the magnums that ive seen have been "customized" whether it was for racing or whatever. i would like to see some pics of yours, most of the triple bolster set ups that ive seen have had the floors dropped out, technically making less room for two reasons, one the larger bolster set up, and secondly when the floor is cut out it never appears as if its cut alllllll the way to the sides of the baot, leaving like a 6-10 inch useless edge space. (if that makes sense to you, i can picture it in my head, hard to write down and explain though)
24 degrees hit it right on the head with the hatches... totally depends on your set up...
cant wait to see your pics

The hatch that Crackerbox has is the small block TRS hatch.
24 degrees...
have you seen other hatches like mine.. just curious if they had the same problem as me.. underneath or inside my hatch i had to "carve" away the wood in four places.. 2 for the carbs becasue hatch would hit, and two more for exhaust?
just curious if any one else had that prob....
i like that hatch looks, and function wise so i didnt want to replace it... ive got a pic here someplace
