I see you did the front end on your 62 too, Hot rod's are cool. I did mine in 1968, the vett was my first car. I paid $150.00 for it and have owned it for 39 years. VERY NICE !!!!!!

As I was going through my Powerboat magazines looking for info on Buds 29' Magnun. I found this ad in Powerboat for my Mirage, by 1980 she was for sale for $30,000.00, good money back then.

I didnt mean to hijack the Maltese thread, from across the river that Sport looked like a Maltese. That said, sounds like my new Mirage has had many owners in it's life. The good thing she been well cared for, and keeped mostly stock. The only thing I going to do is to get ride of the Merc trim gauge, and replace with cable indacators for the drives. Thanks to OSO and John [Lightning Jet] I found out were my old Mirage went, she's in Ohio and in good hands beeing redone with bravo drives smallblocks and new paint. Here is few more pic's when I had her.

nope I didnīt do the front and itīs a 61 ( the last two tone live axle), also it could be a 62 as the next day according to itīs VIN they made 62īs at the factory.
It was like that while it came from Canada 1988 to me, with the cowl scoop, fender flares and attachments for a rollbar plus Cal-tracs..so it has seen some racing for sure.
I opted to keep it as a street racer instead of restoring it as itīs a timemachine for me.

You are right 61, the 3 chrome side spears in the coves were only on 58 to 61. Don't change it, timemachine's are cool, I did mine in 1968 and that's the way she will stay.

Never will it be restored to be a NCRS trailer queen !

Maybe we can then someday share rides on the boats and cars, wishful thinking
My great grandfather is buried somewhere in Baltimore but Iīm clueless where, he was working in the copper mines and railroads for a few years in USA and while coming back home died on the way back.
Also my grandfathers brother is buried in Boston and Iīll have to someday dig even that up and visit.
But enough of this offtopic.

I know him personally, keeps his at the same marina as mine in the rack.... Its a great boat. 1977 sport, has the floor cut out for the bolsters, 350's, trs drives, white deck with red, and hull sides are an off whiteish, and bottom is white. very original super clean and cared for.
