I know a guy with a Magnum that cut his floor out. He has a sport as well. He has the original blue prints from magnum on how to do it excatly, not many sports had the floor cut out that I know of more often than not it was on the Starfire. He swears by the cut floor and bolster set up, I've sat in it and it does give you a greater sense of security. I've entertained it, but I think I'll leave mine as pedestal seats though.

Len,
Keep it original--just my opinion..
I have a few pic's of the boat I'll dig them out and make copies for you. Pm me with your address.
The motors ad exhaust were done by North Bay Marina in New Baltimore back in 93-94?. Complete new and fresh. The only thing I kept was the transmissions and some of the plumbing.
The drives were completely redone with new gears and lower housings. I think Larry had some drive work done when he owned it.
We can call Dave Zielke at North Bay and see if he has the repair orders? It was a while ago though.....
There was a pretty good stress crack on the port side about 2 feet before the transom which was fixed before the new motors went in. I added extra supports in the bilge.
The interior was done by Phil's Interiors located at Dockside Canvas in Harrison Township.
I'll keep you posted
Rich

The speeds I got were between 62-64. depending on time of year. They were dyno'd at 320hp each when they were new.

I cut out the floor on my Magnum Sport.

Never knew that Magnum had blueprints on how to do it?
I just measured the area many times and then cut out a opening on the floor, then made a box out of 3/4" or 1" thick marine ply wood and glassed the outside and inside and then mounted it and glassed it into the opening. Worked great . I agree it does give you a greater sense of security with the bolster.

Len, Your Sport looks great the way it is. Clean.

Thank you
Jim

What about the yellow boat??
I got an old LSCORA race brochure and old race pic's I'll give you. I don't have scanner.. You'll get a kick out of them
for sure. I gotta find some stuff for Len as well.
I'll get back with you on all that.
